Neveyah Denise Austin-Malone is 27. She’s an exotic dancer at Magic City.  Her stage name is "Almond Joy" because all the men enjoy her. Neveyah is the best and the most popular dancer at Magic City; people come from all over to see her seductive, erotic routines. They are mesmerized by her performances. She likes the attention she gets from the patrons. Neveyah has been dancing for five years. She used to dance at The Pink Pony, but relocated to Magic City after moving in with her best friend.

Neveyah has a twin brother named Chayton. Chayton is a Marine stationed at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. He is protective of his sister, but is unaware of her real profession. He thinks she is a dance instructor.

Neveyah is an Emory University alum. She has a degree in music, and she writes songs, plays piano and violin, and can sing. She has an amazing range and seeks solace in her music and songwriting when she feels bad. Neveyah is moody at times and likes to play matchmaker.

Jo and Neveyah are roommates and best friends who occupy Six-C. They met in high school and remained friends throughout college. When a significant event changed Neveyah's life, Jo was there to help her out.  Likewise, Neveyah also
has Jo's back when things go wrong for her.

Neveyah's got issues with her mother that she has little interest in resolving and she wants nothing to do with her or her stepfather, Ferro. 

Neveyah was once engaged to her college sweetheart, but after she was left standing at the altar, she began exclusively dating married men. She collects dolphin-themed accessories, knick-knacks and gifts and drives a black Camaro. She has a dachshund named Pretzel. For the most part, Neveyah is pretty laid-back. She tries to keep things simple, as she believes that she has control over her life. But things aren't always what they seem and eventually, the chickens do come home to roost.

Neveyah's father is Nicholas Malone, an architect at John Portman & Associates. He does not approve of Neveyah's career choice, especially when she has been blessed with an abundance of gifts and can do anything she wants.

Neveyah's mother, Nina Austin Silvano, also does not approve of her daughter's choices and is frustrated that Neveyah won't forgive her for divorcing Nick.  She's married to Ferro Silvano, the man she left Nick for.  Nina wants to fix her relationship with her daughter, but Neveyah won't talk to her.
